For over three generations we have been bringing the best products derived from selected Duroc<\/strong><\/a> breed pigs to our consumers’ tables. But our commitment does not stop at presenting the best quality–we go further. We are firmly convinced that innovation is a fundamental part of the ACH project.<\/p>\n

What is our commitment to research?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Over 50 years of experience<\/a> and excellence in the sector give us a know-how that can be matched by very few others. During this time we have been able to contribute all our experience to focus on what really matters–our product. That is why the Nutrilip<\/a> project was born, with the aim of reducing environmental impact by improving production efficiency. In other words, we improve to be better.<\/p>\n

Nutrilip is a project within the framework of\u00a0\u201c<\/u>European Quality Assurance<\/a>\u201d,<\/u>\u00a0guaranteeing our commitment to quality and sustainability in our products.<\/p>\n

What are we seeking to achieve through research?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is a very simple answer to this question: through research we want to be better. Nutrilip, together with all the projects carried out by ACH, aims for excellence in our sector.<\/p>\n

In this particular case, sustainability is our guiding idea. We know that nitrogen compounds, in the form of nitrous oxide and nitrates, are important components of greenhouse gases. The main source of these compounds is the protein fed to pigs in their diet.<\/p>\n

There are studies that show that reducing dietary protein<\/strong>, together with an increased energy\/protein ratio, improves production efficiency and increases the amount and quantity of fatty tissue in the meat of the animals.<\/p>\n

With Nutrilip we are aiming to use this scientific basis to tackle the problem of greenhouse gases. We are therefore committed to researching and developing a new feed formulation for our\u00a0Duroc<\/strong><\/a>,<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0fattening pigs with a feed featuring a lower protein content. This reduction of the protein content in pig diets can in turn lead to a reduction of the environmental impact and hence to an increase in the overall sustainability of our production system.<\/p>\n
