Now in August we are taking a look at the most important trade events in which Agroalimentarias Chico has participated so far this year.

Meat Attraction

This is one of the most important trade events in the meat sector where new partners and business can be found. Organised by ifema and Anice, it is the backbone platform for activity and business and internationalisation opportunities for exhibitors, visitors and buyers.

Under the premises of marketing, innovation, quality and know-how, Meat Attraction 2022 is the foremost promotional tool for the meat industry and aims to boost international business activity and encourage training and interaction among professionals from the entire Meat Industry.

Three days of intense trade relations with the meat sector to obtain all the information on the specialised commercial offer available on the Spanish and international markets.

This was a spectacular event in which our colleague Raúl Bermejo Nebreda, Manager of Hermanos Chico, had the opportunity to present on the last day one of our cornerstones as a company: breed selection.

At Agroalimentaria Chico we are committed to selecting the best breeds in order to give the final product a higher quality. We are committed to the Duroc breed and its meat with a high level of infiltrated fat.

Alimentaria

The international food, beverage and food service exhibition. This is the international event of reference for all professionals in the food, beverage and food service industry. It is also a mandatory event for innovation, the latest trends and the internationalisation of the sector.

The latest edition presented renewed contents aimed at showing the differential value of gastronomy under the theme of innovation.

We were present featuring our brands Afinado and La Granja de Chico, and our CEO Jaime Chico participated in the round table dedicated to digitalisation in the food sector.

Digital transformation in the food and agriculture sector has to respond to the needs and challenges that each of them pose, but without sacrificing efficiency and speed in procedures. Meat companies represent over 22% of the entire Spanish food sector, with a turnover of 27,000 million euros, and digitalisation can help farmers and stockbreeders to be even more competitive and have a safer and more environmentally friendly production in a more sustainable way that improves transparency and balance throughout the entire agri-food chain.

11th World Ham Congress

The World Ham Congress is an event that has enjoyed extraordinary success since its first edition in 2001, thanks to the fact that it has been able to bring together and share advances and problems in a single forum with the participation of hundreds of people from the sector.

Under the slogan “Ham reinvents itself in Segovia”, over 300 professionals were able to attend the largest event in the world of ham in which, for three days, the main innovations, production, commercial, communication and marketing techniques that the sector is facing for the future were presented.

This congress has become the main meeting point for operators in the sector. It is held every two years and analyses the main technological and market innovations that are essential in changing times such as the present.

Jaime Chico participated in the round table organised by the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development of the Regional Government of Castile and Leon, on the “Sustainability and valuation of the rural environment and its population”, together with Isabel Ferreira, Secretary of State for Regional Development of Portugal, and Frances Boya, Secretary General for the Demographic Challenge.
